Career Development Assignment II

Use the priority grids on the next 3 pages to prioritize your work values. There are 34 values listed, so decide which 4 you know are not important to you and discard them. Number the remaining 30, 1 through 15 and 1 through 15. Use the 15 grid to work through the first 15 and use another 15 grid to work through the second 15. Using the grid, choose between each pair. Decide what is most important to you--1 or 2, 1 or 3, 1 or 4 and so forth. Work through all possible combinations, and then add up the total times you have selected each number on the entire grid. Take your highest scoring 5 on both sheets and use the 10 grid to arrive at your highest priority 5 work values.

Priority Grid

This grid can greatly simplify making value choices. Number your choices one through ten. Using the grid, choose between each pair. Decide what is most important to you--1 or 2, 1 or 3, 1 or 4 and so forth. Work through all possible combinations, and then add up the total times you have selected each number. If any numbers tie, check to see which of the two you chose before. The next page has a grid up to 15. Always make copies of priority grids; keep the originals!
